Stupid College Courses – Issue 103

Dear Mom & Dad,

You won’t believe what I’m taking this fall. It’s a whole course on Miley Cyrus. It’s “The sociology of Miley Cyrus: Race, Class, Gender & Media.” How awesome is that?

We’re learning about “gender stratification,” “bisexuality, queerness and the female body” and other cool stuff.

I know Skidmore College costs $62,042 a year, but where else could I learn about “intersecionality theory” and “feminist critique of media”?
