In honor of the 100th birthday of Cold War Soviet spy Ethel Rosenberg, The New York City Council recently proclaimed September 28 as “Ethel Rosenberg Day of Justice in the Borough of Manhattan.”
Editors’ Note: Ethel and husband Julius headed a spy ring that passed top-secret information on the atomic bomb to the U.S.S.R. They were convicted of conspiracy to commit espionage and were executed in the electric chair at Sing Sing Prison on June 19, 1953.
